Disability Support Worker – Casual | SIL

We are currently seeking experienced Disability Support Workers for casual shift opportunities across our clients SIL based in North Lakes
About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
Your responsibilities may include:
- Assisting participants with personal care and daily living activities
- Medication administration
- Manual handling and mobility assistance
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Supporting participants with behaviours of concern in line with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSPs)
- Encouraging participation in community, social and recreational activities
- Providing support in both one-on-one and shared living environments
- Transporting participants using a company vehicle or your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Providing specialised support to participants with complex care needs
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing or equivalent)
- Previous experience working in SIL, community disability support or complex care
- Current Driver’s Licence
- Reliable, registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Full Australian working rights
- A genuine passion for supporting people with disability to achieve their goals and live independently
Experience or competency in the following areas is required:
- Stoma care
- Diabetes Management
- Enteral Feeding Support
- Complex Bowel Care
