We are currently seeking Disability Support Workers
for casual shift-fill opportunities
across our client sites on the Gold Coast.
About the Role
As a Disability Support Worker, you will provide high-quality, person-centred support to participants living in Supported Independent Living (SIL) homes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Assisting participants with personal care and hygiene
- Medication administration
- Manual handling and mobility support
- Domestic assistance and meal preparation
- Supporting participants with challenging behaviours in accordance with Positive Behaviour Support Plans (PBSP)
- Encouraging participation in community, social, and recreational activities
- Providing support in both 1:1 and shared living environments
- Transporting participants using a company vehicle or your own registered and comprehensively insured vehicle
About You
To be successful in this role, you will have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Disability, Ageing, or equivalent)
- Current driver's licence
- Reliable, registered, and comprehensively insured vehicle
- Current Blue Card
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Current National Police Check
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificate
- Completion of the NDIS Worker Orientation Module – Quality, Safety and You
- Full Australian working rights
