We are currently seeking qualified and dedicated Personal Care Workers (PCWs) for casual opportunities within residential aged care facilities in Brisbane, particularly in Hillcrest, Acacia Ridge and surrounding suburbs.
Position Summary
As a Personal Care Worker, you will play a vital role in supporting elderly residents with their daily care needs while promoting their dignity, safety, independence and overall wellbeing in a professional residential care environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living.
- Monitor residents’ health and wellbeing and promptly report any changes to the nursing team.
- Assist with implementing and reviewing individual resident care plans.
- Maintain a safe, clean and comfortable environment for residents.
- Respect residents’ confidentiality, dignity, privacy and individual preferences at all times.
- Work collaboratively with nurses and other healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care.
- Follow workplace policies, procedures and infection prevention and control practices.
Essential Requirements
To be considered for these opportunities, applicants must have:
- Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing/Aged Care) or an equivalent qualification (mandatory)
- Previous experience in a residential aged care setting (mandatory).
- Full Australian working rights.
- A current Queensland C Class driver's licence.
- A current National Police Check.
- Up-to-date influenza vaccination.
- Current First Aid and CPR certifications.
- Yellow Card
Available Shifts
We offer flexible casual shifts to suit your availability:
- Morning: 6:30 AM – 2:30 PM
- Afternoon/Evening: 2:30 PM – 10:30 PM
- Night: 10:30 PM – 6:30 AM
